Who we are
Training Contract Coach provides coaching for aspiring solicitors applying for training contracts and vacation schemes in the UK. The service is operated by Kode Legal Ltd, trading as “Training Contract Coach”, “TC Coach” and “TCC”, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 15189348. What information we collect
This website itself has no accounts, sign-up forms or payment pages, and does not collect personal information directly.
When you click “Apply now” or similar buttons, you are taken to a booking form run by Calendly, a third-party scheduling service. If you choose to book a call, that form asks for your name, email address, phone number, university, grades and A-level results, details of any assessment centres or vacation schemes, and why you are interested in coaching. Calendly processes this information on our behalf and under its own privacy policy, available at calendly.com/privacy. Calendly’s scheduling tool also loads on our pages to power the booking popup.
If you enrol on our programme, we collect further information needed to deliver your coaching. This can include your CV, application drafts and answers, academic and employment history, and messages you exchange with us by email or WhatsApp.
Payments
If you purchase our services, payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Where you choose to pay by instalments through a provider such as Klarna, that provider processes your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not store your full card details.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. This is standard server activity used to keep the site running securely. Vercel’s privacy policy is available at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
If you arrive via a link from social media, the web address may contain tags (such as “utm_source”) showing which platform you came from. These help us understand where visitors find us and do not identify you personally.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies for advertising or analytics. Calendly may set cookies needed for its booking tool to function. If we add analytics tools in future, we will update this policy first.
How we use your information
We use your information to prepare for and hold your introduction call, assess whether our programme is a good fit for you, deliver and improve our coaching services, manage our relationship with you, take payment, and communicate with you about your enquiry or programme. We process personal data in accordance with UK data protection law, including the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our services, which can include members of our team and contractors who help deliver coaching, the service providers named in this policy, our insurers, accountants, lawyers and other professional advisers, and where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect someone from serious harm.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed to manage your enquiry or coaching relationship, and to meet legal, accounting and insurance obligations afterwards, then delete it. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those obligations.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) if you are unhappy with how we have handled it.
